Tihomir Todorov was appointed by Protocol PD213-02.10.2026 of the Minister of Transport and Communications as a member of the Board of Directors of "Port of Varna" EAD, subsequently elected as Chairman.

Ivaylo Gavrailov

Since 2022, Ivaylo Gavrailov has been at the helm of the management of 'Port Varna' EAD. At this point, following a competitive procedure with contract No. VD-47 dated 01.10.2025, the Minister of Transport and Communications assigned the management of 'Port Varna' EAD to Ivaylo Gavrailov for a second time, as a representative of the state. On 02.10.2025, the Board of Directors of 'Port Varna' EAD assigned him the management of the company, as an executive member /executive director/.

Eng. Ivaylo Gavrailov holds a master's degree in "Fleet and Port Operations" and additional specialization in port management from APEC - Belgium.

He started working at Port Varna EAD in 1995 and after 2000, he accumulated years of experience in the management of private and state enterprises in various leadership positions in maritime transport and industry, including over 15 years as the Executive Director of "Port Lesport" AD / with a capital of BGN 15 million /, "Bulgarian Maritime Qualification Center" AD / with a capital of BGN 32.9 million /, and "Port Varna" EAD / with a capital of BGN 8.5 million /.

The members of the Board of Directors are appointed following competitive procedures announced by the Ministry of Transport and Communications and Protocols of the Minister of Transport and Communications.

The remuneration of the members of the Board of Directors is determined in the Management Agreements of "Port of Varna" JSC, in accordance with Article 56 of the Public Procurement Act and is disclosed in the published annual reports of the company.
